Background
Based in Taipei since 2020, working in English and Mandarin with Taiwan's electronics, semiconductor and trade associations.
For a decade Christopher Millward led the American technology industry's representative body in China — the United States Information Technology Office — advocating for and advising the world's leading technology firms in perhaps the world's most demanding regulatory environment. That work put him across the table from senior policymakers in both capitals: the State Department, Commerce, USTR and the NSC in Washington; the Cyberspace Administration, MOFCOM and MIIT in Beijing. Across the same decade he took part in the meetings of the World Semiconductor Council.
Before that he directed global communications for Lenovo through its rise to the world's largest PC maker, ran WE-Worldwide's China business and Text 100's Beijing practice, co-founded and built a consulting firm of his own, and led client services for Edelman China across its technology and consumer groups.
